How to Improve Spatial Reasoning

There are a few things that you can do to focus on improving your spatial awareness skills.

Practice Tests

If you have an upcoming spatial reasoning test, it’s a good idea to take practice tests to get used to the questions that you will encounter on the official test. There are many different test providers that use spatial reasoning questions. Figure out which test you will be taking and then take practice tests from that specific test type.

Puzzles

There are many different types of spatial reasoning puzzles that you can find for free online or in the form of worksheets and books.

Jigsaw puzzles can be used for fun and can be purchased at toy stores, or you can find many free ones of different difficulty levels online. Mazes are another great puzzle that you can take for fun while focusing on spatial awareness.

Games

Playing games like Tetris, where spatial awareness is critical to doing well, are a fun and beneficial way of focusing on your spacial problem solving abilities and improving your overall spatial reasoning skills.
